MATCH RECAP: Earthquakes II vs Houston Dynamo 2

SAN JOSE, Calif. – Earthquakes II fell to Houston Dynamo 2 4-3 in a penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw at PayPal Park on Friday night. The result sees Quakes II snap their three-match winning streak.

After a scoreless first half, Houston Dynamo 2 opened the scoring in the 51st minute by Kyle Edwards. Quakes II battled back and ultimately found the equalizer in the 90th minute through Will Richmond, taking the match to a penalty shootout. Quakes II would later fall to Dynamo 2 in the penalty shootout 4-3.

Earthquakes II will now hit the road for three consecutive road matches, first traveling to face North Texas SC on Sunday, July 10. Kickoff from Choctaw Stadium is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. PT and the match will be broadcast live on MLSNEXTPro.com.
