ACADEMY: Girls Set to Compete in USSDA Spring Showcase

This weekend, the San Jose Earthquakes Girls Academy will be well represented at one of the premier tournaments of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy. From April 26-30, the Quakes U-14, U-15, and U-17 Girls’ Academy teams will go head-to-head with some of the best Academy teams in the nation during the 2019 USSDA Spring Showcase.


The Showcase will take place in Commerce City, Colo. as more than 3,300 of the nation’s top female youth soccer players will compete against teams seeking a final push towards the Girls' USSDA Playoffs. 


Eight marquee matches will be streamed on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube including the Quakes U-15’s match against Cincinnati Development Academy on Sunday April 28 at 3:30 p.m. ET. This matchup features two of the nation’s highest-ranked Academies in their age group with the Quakes ranked No.1 and Cincinnati No. 4.


The San Jose Earthquakes U-15 Girls’ Academy team is in the middle of a dominant season. They currently sit on top of the U-15 West Conference standings with a 29-point lead over second place, an astounding +77 goal differential, and a total of 16 clean sheets in a total of 25 matches played.
