ACADEMY UPDATE: Boys Face Ballistic, Kathryn Kelly Commits to UCLA

All four Quakes Boys’ Academy teams managed clean-sheet victories in their respective matches against Partners in Development club Ballistic United SC on Saturday, March 16. The U-13s won 10-0, the U-14s won 4-0, the U-15s won 2-0, and the U-17s won 1-0. The Boys’ Academy are back in action this weekend when they take on Breakers FC on Saturday, March 23.


The Girls’ Academy traveled to Oregon to face the Portland Thorns on Saturday, March 16. The U-14s outscored their opponent 5-0, while the U-17s were defeated 4-2. The Girls’ Academy will face California Thorns FC at De Anza College on Saturday, March 23.  Additionally, U-15 defender Kathryn Kelly verbally committed to UCLA to continue her soccer-playing career. Kelly is the second player from the talented U-15 Girls' Academy team to commit to a university.
