ACADEMY UPDATE
This past week, the U-13 and U-14 Boys’ Academy teams traveled to Oceanside, Calif. to play in the Western Regional Showcase. On Friday, the U-13s drew Portland Timbers FC 0-0 and fell 2-0 to Pateadores. On Saturday, the U-13s were defeated 2-0 by Los Angeles FC and fell 1-0 to Total Futbol Academy. On Sunday, the U-14s earned a 1-0 victory over Seattle United and would later suffer a 1-0 loss to rivals LA Galaxy.
The U-15 and the U-17 Boys’ Academy teams took on and defeated Partners in Development club Ballistic United this past Saturday. Learn more about the Quakes’ Partners in Development program here.
This weekend, the Boys’ Academy will take on rivals De Anza Force. Times and locations for these matches can be found here.
This past Saturday, the Girls’ Academy hosted Beach Futbol Club. The U-14s tied 1-1, U-15s won 6-0, U-17s lost 1-0 and the U-19s lost 4-0. With a win this past Saturday, the U-15 Girls’ Academy squad extended their undefeated streak to 10 matches.
