This Saturday, the Quakes will take on Sporting Kansas City in the second encounter between the two Western Conference sides since the start of the 2017 season. Last season when the Quakes took on Sporting, we showcased some of the best haircuts that players from both teams have sported throughout the years.
Given that this Saturday’s match is presented by Supercuts, we decided to look at some of the classic hairstyles that we have seen so far this year.

Seeing Stars in Ceren
Earthquakes midfielder Darwin Ceren has sported several hair designs since he joined the team last August. Earlier this season, we were seeing stars in the El Salvadoran’s hair as he showed off this look for the match against Orlando on May 17.
If trends in the team mean anything, blonde is in. Several of the Quakes have invested in bleach this season. Here are some of the golden locks seen so far.
Blonde Alpaca
Panamanian midfielder Anibal Godoy has styled his hair in a way that we have affectionately coined the alpaca. Earlier this year, this classic Godoy look took a new twist as he showed up blonde for the 3-0 win against Portland on May 6.
Sun-kissed Vic
We’ve seen this look before in Honduran defender Victor Bernardez. He came back from the 2014 FIFA World Cup with a blonde buzzcut. Ahead of the FIFA World Cup Qualifier between the USA and Honduras at Avaya Stadium earlier this year, the blonde returned as he cheered on his former teammates.
Trendsetter
Cordell Cato has rocked blonde hair for the longest this year, sporting the look since preseason.
