FEATURE: Quakes Academy products highlight 2017 Burlingame Dragons FC roster

Burlingame Dragons - San Jose Earthquakes

Burlingame Dragons FC, the San Jose Earthquakes Premier Development League Affiliate, today announced early season roster signings. The Dragons are loaded with former Quakes Academy players and additional prospects from the surrounding area and local universities.

Among the more recognizable names to Quakes fans are Stanford-bound forward Arda Bulut, UCLA-bound midfielder Andrew Paoli and Cal-bound defender Christopher Grey. Defender Josh Morton will likely play an important role once again for Burlingame ahead of his senior season in Berkeley.

Defender Jean-Julien Foe Nuphaus, who recently returned to the Quakes Academy from a stint with Germany’s Hoffenheim, is the youngest member of the squad at just 17 years old.

In addition to having players from Stanford, Cal and UCLA, Burlingame will also have reps from Cal Poly, Santa Clara, San Jose State, Pacific, CSU Fullerton, Sacramento State and more. In total, 27 players were named to the roster, with additional signings to be made in the near future.

The team’s first home game at Dragons Stadium (Burlingame High School) is on Sunday, May 14, also against the Fuego.
