Two members of the San Jose Earthquakes Boys’ Academy were selected as standouts for the most recent period of action in the national Development Academy.
Midfielder Gilbert Fuentes and forward Aikala Chappell were on the shortlists for the U-19 and U-17 age groups, respectively, for their performances last weekend.
Fuentes scored a goal in the team’s 2-2 draw against Strikers FC while Chappell scored all three goals in the team’s 3-2 win over Strikers FC. Both games took place on Saturday afternoon.
