The Future is Here
This past Sunday, Earthquakes Homegrown midfielder Gilbert Fuentes made his MLS debut against the Colorado Rapids, entering the match as a substitute in the 89th minute. Fuentes became the youngest Quakes player to play in an MLS match at 16 years and 242 days old, taking the distinction from Omar Jasseh (17 years, 174 days).
First of Many
In the Earthquakes’ last match against the Colorado Rapids, Homegrown goalkeeper JT Marcinkowski secured his first MLS shutout in just his fourth start for the club.
The Fight Goes On
Seattle Sounders FC currently hold the fourth-place position in the Western Conference and are just one point behind the second and third-place positions held by Los Angeles FC and FC Dallas, respectively. Defeating Sounders FC would force the club to compete in a Knockout Round match leading up to the 2018 MLS Western Conference Semifinals.
