SAN JOSE, Calif. – PayPal Park, home of the San Jose Earthquakes, will host a Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Second Round match between Monterey Bay F.C. vs. Bay Cities FC on Wednesday, April 6. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
General admission tickets are available for purchase here, with fans having the option to sit in the main bowl ($25) or field club ($50). Quakes Season Ticket Holders can purchase discounted tickets by contacting their Account Service Representative.
Monterey Bay F.C. is in its inaugural season in the USL Championship, the second tier of American soccer. Monterey Bay is led by head coach Frank Yallop, who guided the Earthquakes to MLS Cup championships in 2001 and 2003, and plays its home matches at Cardinale Stadium on the campus of California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB).
Bay Cities FC is in its inaugural season in the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA), the third tier of American soccer. The team is based in Redwood City, Calif. and plays its home matches at Terremere Field on the campus of Sequoia High School.
The Earthquakes are one of 17 MLS teams that will enter the competition in the Third Round. The draw for the Third Round will take place on Friday, April 8, and the match will be played between April 19-21.
