The Quakes Boys’ Academy began practicing ahead of the 2017-18 USSDA season last week.
Down in San Diego, the Quakes U-14 Girls Development Academy side was crowned 2017 Surf Cup Champions last weekend. The girls went undefeated in the tournament en route to the final, outscoring their opponents 15 to 5. In the championship match, Andres Deza’s team fought back from a 3-1 deficit to defeat Solar Chelsea 5-3.
