ACADEMY UPDATE: June 18, 2018

The U-15 and U-17 Girls’ Academy teams will begin their Development Academy Playoffs campaigns this June. Both the U-15 and U-17 Quakes Academy teams are the top seed in their respective groups. See their group-play schedule below:

In other news, on June 12, Sophie Jones and the U-17 United States Women’s National team were crowned champions of the CONCACAF Championship following a 3-2 win against Mexico in the finals. After winning the semifinal match against Haiti, the U.S. automatically qualified for the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, hosted by Uruguay. Jones and the U.S. will begin their World Cup campaign when they take on Cameroon on November 14. For the full match schedule, click here.


Andrea Kitahata and the U-15 United States Girls’ National Team completed their double header against the Netherlands. The U.S. defeated the Netherlands 2-1 in their first match and drew 2-2 in their second match. Kitahata capped off the training camp with one start in her two appearances.
